Qarahine is an effective Unani medication for the management of peptic and gastric ulcers. It is the result of continued research on Unani ingredients by Hamdard Labs. It is quite helpful in the management of acute and chronic gastritis, amoebic and bacillary dysentery & diarrhea.

Description

Hamdard Qarahine

Glycyrrhiza Glabra: strengthens the stomach & due to its anti-inflammatory effects on the mucous membrane, it also helps in the healing of gastric & peptic ulcers.

Cochlospermum Gossypium: is adaptogenic, astringent and demulcent. It also helps and stimulates the immune system.

Pistacia Lentiscus: helps & reduces stomach acid release & also helps in protecting the mucosal lining of the stomach and intestine.

Red Ochre: traditionally known as anti-diarrhoeal and useful against intestinal ulcers.

Hydrated Magnesium: Silicate forms a gelatinous, adherent coating on the ulcer crater protecting it from the digestive action of enzyme and acid. It also minimizes the chances of bleeding from an ulcer.

Silicate of magnesia & Ferrum: helps and resolves inflammation due to abnormal phlegmatic deposition.

Lapis Lazuli: helps and effectively reduces the effects of Food Poisoning and additionally helps in healing stomach ulcers.

Indications

Peptic and gastric ulcer, acute and chronic gastritis, amoebic and bacillary dysentery and diarrhea.

Dosage

1 sachet with water before breakfast, lunch, and dinner each or as directed by the physician.
